SHENZHEN, China - OnePlus launched the Ace 7 and Ace 7 Pro in China on Thursday evening and put both phones on sale right away, filling in the prices and chips it had held back before the event. The Ace 7 lists at 4,399 yuan with 12GB of memory and 256GB of storage, and the Ace 7 Pro at 4,799 yuan for the same configuration, IT Home reported from the launch. First-sale promotions bring them to 3,249 yuan and 3,649 yuan, according to Phoenix Tech, and buyers who qualify for China’s national device subsidy pay from 2,761.65 yuan and 3,149 yuan.

OnePlus had already confirmed that both phones would carry a 9,000mAh battery, 100W charging and a built-in fan. Thursday’s launch settled the rest.

The Ace 7 comes in four versions. Beyond the base model, the 16GB and 256GB version costs 4,899 yuan, the 12GB and 512GB version 5,199 yuan and the 16GB and 512GB version 5,699 yuan. The Ace 7 Pro adds a fifth: 16GB and 256GB at 5,299 yuan, 12GB and 512GB at 5,599 yuan, 16GB and 512GB at 5,999 yuan and 16GB with 1TB at 7,299 yuan. IT Home, Phoenix Tech and ZOL all reported that the phones went on sale through OnePlus’s online store, the major e-commerce platforms and retail stores once the event ended.

The two phones split on silicon. The Ace 7 Pro uses Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, while the Ace 7 gets the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 V Series, according to OnePlus’s specification pages for the Ace 7 Pro and the Ace 7. Both chips are built on a 3-nanometer process and reach 4.608GHz, and both phones pair them with LPDDR5X Ultra memory and UFS 4.1 storage.

OnePlus calls the fan setup its Dual-Path Glacier Air Cooling System. One stream of air blows directly over the chip and the other across the inside of the back cover, so the phone feels cooler in the hand, and the company says chip temperatures run up to 10 degrees Celsius lower after an hour of gaming. The Ace 7 Pro product page describes a 14-layer stack of cooling fins with 1,264 square millimeters of heat exchange area. In OnePlus’s own tests cited by IT Home, the phones averaged 184.9 frames per second in both Game for Peace and Delta Force in their 185 fps modes, peaking at 38.7 and 40.2 degrees Celsius. Both models also carry three OnePlus-designed chips for touch response, networking and display.

Both share a 6.78-inch flat LTPO display at 2,772 by 1,272 pixels. It runs at up to 165Hz across the system and up to 185Hz in some games, reaches 2,000 nits at peak and uses 3,840Hz PWM dimming at low brightness, according to the spec sheets. Phoenix Tech reported that it is the same fourth-generation panel used in the OnePlus 16.

The cameras are the other dividing line. Both phones have a 200-megapixel main camera with optical stabilization. The Pro adds a 50-megapixel periscope telephoto with 3.5x optical zoom and up to 120x digital zoom, while the Ace 7 pairs its main camera with an 8-megapixel ultrawide. Both have a 16-megapixel front camera and record video at up to 8K and 30 frames per second, or 4K at 120.

The 9,000mAh battery, rated at 8,775mAh, charges at up to 100W and supports bypass charging, which powers the phone directly during plugged-in gaming. Both phones run ColorOS 17 and have an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint sensor, an infrared blaster, dual speakers and IP66, IP68, IP69 and IP69K dust and water ratings. They measure 8.5 millimeters thick in Polar Night Black and Flowing Light White and 8.59 millimeters in the glass-backed Pofeng and Cuihuo finishes. The Ace 7 Pro weighs about 218 grams, or 225 grams in Pofeng, and the Ace 7 about 217 grams, or 223 grams in Cuihuo. Thursday’s launch covered China only.
