Unitree Unveils G1+ Humanoid at $15,000 With Movable Neck

Unitree listed the G1+ humanoid at US $15,000 with a movable neck, cooler high-torque joints and a chest wide-angle camera.

HANGZHOU, China · Maya Chen, Gadgets · Sep 14 2026

HANGZHOU, China - Unitree Robotics on Monday officially launched the G1+, an upgraded version of its compact G1 humanoid, listing the standard model at US $15,000 excluding tax and shipping on its product site and framing the refresh as six simultaneous upgrades across motion, sensing and interaction.

The Hangzhou-based company says the G1+ adds two degrees of freedom in the neck - pitch from about −25° to 36° and yaw of ±110° - so the head can turn more freely while surveying a room. Shoulder and waist motors are rated for 110 percent higher peak torque with 72 percent less heat at the same torque; arm motors gain about 43 percent peak torque and shed 30 percent heat at equivalent load; thigh motors run about 28 percent cooler at the same torque. Perception and interaction changes include a binocular camera plus a chest wide-angle camera, a head-mounted touch sensor, support for external power for continuous operation, and a six-microphone array paired with dual 10-watt speakers at the waist.

On paper the standing G1+ measures about 1,340 by 450 by 200 millimeters and weighs roughly 35 kilograms with its battery. The standard configuration carries 25 degrees of freedom; the EDU build spans 25 to 45 degrees of freedom depending on options such as dexterous hands. Unitree rates single-arm payload at about 3 kilograms on the standard model and about 4 kilograms on EDU, with a 9,000 milliamp-hour quick-release battery good for roughly two hours, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.2, and sensing that pairs binocular and chest wide-angle cameras with 3D LiDAR. EDU pricing is listed as contact sales rather than a fixed sticker.

Chinese coverage of the launch often cited a tax-included price near 95,000 yuan, or roughly $14,000, while Unitree’s English G1+ page holds the US $15,000 list for the standard model. Availability appears centered on China for now, with broader international retail timing still to be spelled out beyond the online listing. Whether the neck mobility, cooler high-torque joints and always-on power option are enough to widen the G1’s appeal beyond labs and demos will depend on how quickly units ship and how the EDU configuration is priced.
