GURUGRAM, India - Samsung launched the Galaxy F70 5G in India on Sunday, slotting a slim phone with a stabilized main camera between the budget Galaxy F70e 5G and the pricier Galaxy F70 Pro 5G. It goes on sale Tuesday, Oct. 20, at 12 p.m. India time through Flipkart and Samsung’s online store, in Vivid Violet and Bold Black.
Beebom and My Mobile India report list prices of Rs 19,999 for the model with 4GB of memory and 128GB of storage and Rs 22,999 for the 6GB version. Launch offers bring those down to Rs 17,999 and Rs 20,999, and the lower figure is the starting price carried across most launch coverage. Samsung’s own product page showed a “Notify me” button on Sunday rather than a price.
Samsung is selling the phone on three claims printed across that page: the slimmest phone, the brightest Super AMOLED display and the toughest display among phones in the 15,000 to 20,000 rupee bracket, based on its own research. The body is 7.5 millimeters thick and weighs 192 grams, according to Beebom. Beebom lists a 6.7-inch Full HD+ Super AMOLED panel with a 90Hz refresh rate under Gorilla Glass Victus, and Gadgets 360 reports IP54 dust and splash resistance.

The camera pitch is in the tagline, “No shakes. No retakes.” The 50-megapixel main camera has optical image stabilization, which Samsung markets as No Shake Cam. It is joined by a 5-megapixel ultrawide and a 2-megapixel macro camera, with a 13-megapixel camera on the front for selfies and video calls.

Inside is Samsung’s Exynos 1330, a 5-nanometer octa-core chip that tops out at 2.4GHz, with up to 6GB of LPDDR4X memory and 128GB of storage that Beebom says can be expanded up to 2TB. The battery is rated at 5,000mAh and charges at 25W. Beebom notes a minimum rated capacity of 4,855mAh and says the 25W charger is sold separately, with only a USB-C cable and a SIM tool in the box. Software features include Circle to Search with Google, Google Gemini, Samsung Wallet with Tap and Pay, Quick Share, Voice Focus for calls and Knox security.

One open question is the Android version. Beebom reported that the Flipkart listing shows Android 15 out of the box, while Gadgets 360’s Hindi site reported One UI 9.5 based on Android 17. Samsung’s product page does not say.
The F70 lands in a crowded bracket. Tecno’s Spark 50S 5G, which Techtember covered when it launched in India at Rs 19,999, goes on sale the same day. Beebom pitched the F70 as a rare budget option at a time when the memory shortage is pushing phone prices higher.
