BEIJING - Xiaomi’s Redmi brand launched the Redmi Book 2027 on Tuesday, a pair of thin aluminum laptops built around Intel’s third-generation Core processors on the company’s 18A manufacturing process. The 14-inch model starts at 6,799 yuan with a Core 5 320, 16GB of memory and a 512GB drive, and the 16-inch model starts at 6,999 yuan, IT Home reported. Sales begin at 10 a.m. on Nov. 3, and first buyers get a 20,000mAh power bank.
Core 7 350 versions with a 1TB drive cost 7,999 yuan for the 14-inch and 8,199 yuan for the 16-inch. With China’s national device subsidy, the four configurations fall to between 5,779.15 and 6,969.15 yuan, according to IT Home. Xiaomi has not announced a launch outside China.

Both chips come from Intel’s Wildcat Lake family. The Core 7 350 has six cores and six threads and boosts to 4.8GHz, and the Core 5 320 has the same core count and reaches 4.6GHz, each with 6MB of cache and Intel’s integrated graphics, according to IT Home. Xiaomi pairs them with LPDDR5X memory at 7,467MT/s, two fans and a 10-millimeter heat pipe, and says the laptops can sustain 30 watts.

The battery is the same 72Wh pack in both sizes, rated at 68.3Wh, and it is the main selling point. Xiaomi claims up to 20.2 hours in a simulated office workload on the 14-inch model and 19.5 hours on the 16-inch model. Those are Xiaomi’s own tests. A 68W USB-C charger is included, and the company says it reaches 50 percent in 35 minutes.
The 14-inch model weighs about 1.28 kilograms and is 13.95 millimeters thick at its thickest point. The 16-inch model is 1.56 kilograms and 14.35 millimeters, according to IT Home. Xiaomi lists a 2.8K screen at 500 nits for the 14-inch model and a 2,560 by 1,600 pixel panel at 400 nits for the 16-inch model, both at 120Hz, Notebookcheck reported. The colors are Moonlight Silver, Space Gray, Nebula Purple and Sea Breeze Blue.

Ports include two full-function USB-C 3.2 Gen 2 ports, two USB-A ports, HDMI 2.1 with 4K output at 60Hz and a headphone jack. Wireless is Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.4, a step behind the Wi-Fi 7 found on many newer laptops. The machines run Windows 11 and come with Xiaomi’s Super XiaoAi 2.0 assistant, which can call Xiaomi’s MiMo model to draft slides and summarize documents.
Redmi introduced the laptops alongside its K100 phone, which has a 10,000mAh battery.
