SHENZHEN, China - Huawei launched the Pura 90 Plus on Wednesday at 5,499 yuan for 12GB of memory and 256GB of storage, the same price the Pura 90 Pro carried when the series debuted in April. The 512GB model costs 5,999 yuan and the 1TB model 6,999 yuan, IT Home reported from Huawei’s Double 11 product event. A discount of up to 300 yuan runs from Oct. 28 to Nov. 30, which brings the starting price to 5,199 yuan.
Sales begin at 10:08 a.m. on Oct. 31 through Huawei’s online store, authorized online sellers, Huawei experience stores and authorized retailers, according to Huawei’s pricing slide. The company is also offering up to 12 interest-free installments and a trade-in subsidy of up to 600 yuan.

The launch settles the question raised last week, when display units in Huawei stores showed an unannounced processor. The phone does run the Kirin 9025, and Huawei Central reported that it is up to 20 percent faster than the Kirin 9020 used in last year’s Pura 80 Pro. Independent benchmarks have not yet tested that claim.
The camera system is the reason the Plus exists. The main camera is a 50-megapixel 1-inch-type sensor with a physical variable aperture from f/1.6 to f/4.0, optical stabilization and Huawei’s RYYB color filter, according to IT Home. It sits beside a 40-megapixel ultrawide at f/2.2, a 48-megapixel macro telephoto at f/2.1 with optical stabilization that can focus as close as 5 centimeters, and Huawei’s Red Maple color camera. Huawei Central put the optical zoom at 4x.

The design moves away from the rest of the Pura 90 range. The Plus has a curved metal frame and a 6.8-inch display that curves on all four sides, according to IT Home, while the other Pura 90 models use flat frames. Huawei Central said the panel is an LTPO OLED that refreshes between 1Hz and 120Hz. It comes in Sunset Purple, Dawn Gold, Obsidian Black and Snowy White.

The battery is 5,700mAh, with 100W wired and 80W wireless charging. The phone ships with HarmonyOS 7, and Huawei is promoting a storage feature it says frees up as much as 25GB on the 256GB model, 59GB on the 512GB model and 110GB on the 1TB model.

The Plus sits above the standard Pura 90, which started at 4,699 yuan in April. Huawei used the same event to introduce its Enjoy 100 series of budget phones.
