Oppo Sets ColorOS 17's Global Unveil for Oct. 13, Same Day as Its India Event
The Android 17 skin gets the tagline "Silky Smooth. Flow with AI," while China has already started its stable rollout and OnePlus opened an India beta on the OnePlus 15.

ZHUHAI, China - Oppo’s ColorOS team on Thursday set Oct. 13 for the global unveil of ColorOS 17, the Android 17-based update the company first showed in China on Sept. 17, and said an India event lands on the same day.
@colorosglobal posted a short teaser video with the line “Fluid motion. Refined visuals. A more natural system experience,” and hashtags for ColorOS 17 and the Find X10 series. Smartprix reported the global stream for 11 a.m. Central European Summer Time, or 2:30 p.m. India Standard Time, under the tagline “Silky Smooth. Flow with AI.”

ColorOS 17 already has a public face in China. Oppo’s September stage introduced Fluid Fusion design, floating navigation, frosted panels, redesigned icons, and AI photography and assistant tools. The company said Polar Light Engine and Tidal Engine improvements target smoother multitasking and longer support windows. That China unveil is covered separately on Techtember; Thursday’s news is the global calendar, not a fresh feature dump.

China’s stable rollout began Oct. 8. The first wave includes the Find N6, Find X9 series, OnePlus 15 and 15T, and realme GT 8 Pro. Further China batches are listed for Oct. 16, Nov. 26, Dec. 26, and early 2027. Oppo has not published a full India Stable calendar yet. A closed beta already running in India covers devices including the Find X9 Pro, Reno 15 Pro models, OnePlus 15, OnePlus 15R, and realme GT 8 Pro.

Separately, Android Authority reported that OnePlus opened ColorOS 17 Open Beta applications for the OnePlus 15 in India from Oct. 9 through Oct. 12, for units on specific OxygenOS 16 builds. That beta is the path OnePlus is using to let owners voluntarily move from OxygenOS to ColorOS. OnePlus warns of missing features and instability, and says rolling back to OxygenOS 16 erases data.

The Find X10 series, which already ships with ColorOS 17 in China, is still scheduled for a global launch on Oct. 21 in Spain. Thursday’s ColorOS post tied the software teaser to that phone family, but the Oct. 13 event is framed as a software unveil, not the Find X10 hardware stage.
